Windows 10 Upgrade hasn't recognised my external monitor

I recently upgraded to windows 10 and my external Samsung monitor no longer is recognised, not sure how to fix it as it worked via Windows 8.

My computer is a Lenovo X1 Carbon notebook Intel Core i7

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Cathy

    Same Issue here!

I am searching for the same answers dude, I have an Unbranded Tablet that converts to laptop on the keyboard and it is too having the same issue. Somehow before I WAS able to get my external Dell monitor to work, but I unplugged it and moved the monitor to a new place in my house to work for comfortably and now it does not detect at all. That's my issue, and all I did to get it to work the first time was 'windows+P' and set it to extend display, but not it won't work and I can't find any threads or anything on the issue to fix it!

Best of luck, maybe the more people who search this issue, the more work microsoft will put towards fixing the issue!

After the upgrade to Windows 10, the graphics driver is probably replaced with a "newer" Microsoft driver. Microsoft drivers do not support all features, such as multiple monitors, they just make the graphics card work. Go to your notebook manufacturer's site and download latest display drivers. Even better, go directly to Intel and get latest Windows 10 drivers

That was my only issue too at first, remove old drivers through appwiz.cpl, use whichever flavor driver removal tool to get remnants out.

reboot, install latest correct driver. That fixed it for me...
