    Some minor issues

I just upgraded to an asus gtx 1650 super graphics card and encounter some issues.

    1) The night light in display setting can't work.
    2) In device manager, under other devices, there is a pci device coming out of nowhere
which doesn't have a driver for it.
    3) When installing drivers, do I need to install the PhysX and usbc option ?

Does anyone has anwers to my questions. Thanks

You should be using this driver NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce Game Ready Driver WHQL

I would install the PhysX and USB C drivers.

I like to use NVCleanstall to install NVidia drivers which gives more control and enables you to avoid installing the bloatware. I always choose the clean install option. See NVCleanstall (v1.7.0) Download | TechPowerUp

I don't use the night light feature.

I don't know why a mystery PCI device would appear, or whether it has any connection to the new graphics card. (Are your AMD chipset drivers up-to-date?)

You definitely do not need to install the USB-C graphics drivers or PhysX.

I've been using the custom install option for years, as the nVidia installer always used to install 3D drivers. I've never had a monitor that was 3D capable.

The mystery pci device did not appear on my old gtx1050 ti card. It can't be remove but it does
not cause any problem. I tried the latest amd chipset driver, still the same.

Some games still use PhysX if it is installed, Witcher 3 comes to mind and I believe Horizon Zero Dawn may do. The USB C driver is part of the Nvidia drivers for certain RTX2000 and RTX3000 series cards, the USB C port on those cards is designed for a VR connection.
Not all cards have the extra port, but may have the controller built in, hence the PCI device showing up, the drivers seem to be installed regardless of unchecking the option in custom install, I think maybe Windows detects the device and installs it on its own.
If it bothers you, disable the device in device manager, you can also use an app like DriverStoreExplorer (RAPR) to force deletion of the NVHCI driver, although as I said it may well be re installed by Windows so disabling it may be better.
Is this what you are seeing?

Yes, that is what I see in the picture. You too have this issue ? Did you manage to solve it, tell me if you do.

I need PhysX for an old game and I get a missing device in Device Manager if I don't install the USB-C driver

There is no way to "solve it" as it is not an issue, other than the entry in device manager.
As I said, even if you remove the device driver part with RAPR or similar, Windows will likely re install it as it is part of the Nvidia driver. If you never connect to the internet I suppose you could remove it completely, but it is just easier to disable the entries and forget about them.
