3rd monitor only works when logged in to admin

    Hello community!

I need some serious help. I have been dealing with this for over a month. I currently have an all-in-one computer with a 2nd monitor which works just fine. I hooked up a third monitor using HDMI to usb converter and it only works when logged in as an admin rather than another user.

The monitor works exactly how I want it to but ONLY when logged in as admin. I need to change a setting or copy all display settings or somthing else.

Please help, I am about to light my office on fire.

I think they have one of those security softwares that blocks USB use for preventing leaks of documents or for other security reasons . This can be done by local or domain Group Policy too (A Microsoft Windows security component) . In both cases the Network Administrator needs to make exception rules for your Hardware ID , weather its a converter or monitor or whatever .

If you do not have a Network Administrator and the sky is the limit try these steps in Administrator mode to see if there is a policy set and how to reset it How to disable USB devices using Group Policy – Prajwal Desai .

If your user account is part of a Domain (I.E You log on to a company server and not that every PC is a standalone entity) then resetting Group Policies becomes only do-able by Network Administrator since it is being forced on you by server and not locally .

P.S If you need further understanding or walk throughs , reopen this thread under Network & Sharing section of forum asking for means to enable USB devices for User accounts that had been denied it .
