    MSI Afterburner not retaining settings

My MSI AB settings are not being retained either at Windows startup or if I quit AB.
I have applied the settings, saved them to profile 1 and the Windows Startup icon is green.
Is there some addiotnal step I need to do?

Have you set profile to start at boot.
That's actually not recommended though, as if you change cards, the settings of the current card will be used, and you might not be able to boot into windows unless you use safe mode, as the OC might be too high.

What I do is boot into default, and the reapply the profile after Windows boot.

But if you want Windows to boot into the profile, you need to open the "lock" and set the profile, then click the Windows startup icon in Afterburner, then close the lock.

Thanks for that. However, the settings are not applied at Windows startup no matter what I do! I have to reapply the profile by running AB which I don't really want to do on every startup.

You need enable your profiles in your AB setting > Profiles > enable below 2D and 3D it will load at startup windows...

For the profile to run at startup, Afterburner needs to run at startup, Afterburners own startup control is here:

Thanks for that. I thought that it wasn't necessary to have AB running for the profiles to be applied at startup. Is that not the case?

I have no idea why! I have try load start up AB with enable start up but it didn't load up my profiles... so I try enable 2D and 3D it solve my problem! I like leave automatic start up AB with my profiles. There no issue here so far

Thank you. I enabled my profiles, and all is good when AB is running now. I'm just sure I read that you don't have to have AB running for the profiles to be applied at startup.

You can run it minimized and it(and the included RTSS) will hardly use any resources at all.
