    Latest update / Nvidia issue

Hi pros! Been a while since my last post, got another weird issue I can't figure out, I'd be really grateful for any help!
Big update a few days ago (W10 obvs) - since then I'm having major issues with my Nvidea GPU. It shows in devman and says the device is working properly, but when I try to open the Nvidea control panel I get an error saying "You aren't currently using a display connected to an NVidea GPU" and the option to use this device in other programs (ex, OBS) isn't there. This means I can't capture my screen. OBS has never worked using the Intel onboard graphics, I always just disable that in devman and then display capture would work perfectly in OBS.

What I've done so far -
Uninstall both Intel and Nvidea devices, including their drivers and reinstall the latest of both
Manually disable Intel onboard graphics to force use of Nvidea GPU
    Uninstall and reinstall OBS
    Ran OBS as Admin

The only video capture device showing in OBS is my webcam, and as mentioned the Nvidea software is claiming I'm not using that device so won't open the CP.

The reason I'm posting here and not to OBS or Nvidea Q&A is because everything worked fine before the last W10 update.

Quick note, the Nvidea GPU is actually working (I know because my screen always behaved differently when using that to the onboard Intel GPU) but for some reason it's not detectible in other programs any more, not even the Nvidea CP itself.

Can anyone help me out here?!

Is your machine a laptop? Does it use nVidia's Optimus technology? Optimus | Technology | GeForce

If so, you may need to go to the maker's web pages and download graphics drivers there. I don't know whether generic drivers form nVidia and Intel would properly support the Optimus function.

You may get better help if you provide the make and model of your PC. (I sometimes get tired of reciting that litany.)

The machine I'm talking about is a laptop, yes. It's a Toshiba Satellite Pro, core i7, 16GB, 2x 1TB SSD.

I don't think I have this "optimus" thing you're talking about there, the GPU is an Nvidia GT630M. I will try to see if there are better drivers as per your suggestion, thanks for the reply.

Still can't get this sorted out. Tried system restore, which failed to complete properly. Have tried several different drivers, no change. Tried using different streaming software (XSplit) instead of OBS, GPU not available there either.

I guess all I can do now is reformat and reinstall W10 unless anyone has any pearls of wisdom?

Reset to previous build, solved. Have disabled updates for the rest of my life.
