Can i LOCK display names and location (\\.\DISPLAYx)

In windows i have a special setup for my 3 screens, each screen has a purpose and when whey change adapter positions it wreaks havoc on my system. but windows keeps changing the id's sometimes if a monitor is disconnected or if it wasn't plugged in when windows was booting ect.
is there a way i can stop these numbers from changing?

You are basically after a way to physically set the monitors ID to the specific monitor and port of the graphics card I think.

Is this of any use? => Change Main Display in Windows 10.

    I hope this helps!
