external monitor screen resolution seems off

    Hi guys,

I just updated my graphic driver for my external monitor and all of the sudden, the resolution of my 2nd monitor looks odd. The scaling is a lot bigger and the task bar at the bottom of my screen is bigger on my 2nd monitor. How do I resolve this issue?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi guys,

I have resolved the issue. Because I've updated to the latest graphic drivers, it only provides me fewer display resolution options and didn't have the optimal display resolution for a 24 inch monitor from the drop down list. Therefore, I rolled back to the old driver and it allowed me to pick the correct resolution from the drop down list.

All is good now. Hope this would also help others who faced the similar issue.

    Hi folks

sometimes also - especially if its a newer monitor / TV -- try the hardware settings (usually available with the handset) -- there's often a lot of extra settings that you don't always see via windows --for example if the resolution doesn't always "quite fit" the size you specified in Windows there's often a setting (via the hardware -- not in Windows but from the monitor) similar to "auto resize". There's especially on better monitors all sorts of things like "Colour Temp", adjust RGB values (Red Green Blue) separately and a zillion and one other settings -- hint though - note settings on paper before you start playing around. I say write on paper because if you hose it up so there's no or unreadable screen output you will probably have to do a "factory re-set" and any other changes you made will be lost. Also change only ONE THING AT A TIME !!.

    Cheers
