Recurring sudden blackscreens, probably driver-related

Hello everyone. Sorry I couldn't be here the last few days, my power supply unit had breathed its last and I had to wait for a replacement. This does mean my issue has changed though, interestingly.

Now that I have a fully functioning power supply unit, the good news is that my screen actually recovers from the blackscreen. The bad news is that it does so only for a few seconds, and then it goes back to the blackscreen, and then it goes back to the regular screen, and so on and on and on.

Does this change your understanding of my problem?

EDIT: Okay, this is interesting. I tried an older, smaller monitor, and with that, I do not get the issue, while if I switch back to my bigger monitor, it immediately appears again. I guess this either means my other monitor or some parts associated with it are broken, or that my GPU cannot handle the strain of a large monitor?

A monitor is just a monitor to the GPU, unless you are trying to run at a resolution higher than the GPU supports which is unlikely. It sounds to me like you have an issue with the larger monitor, if the small monitor did not exhibit the black screen issue. I'm suspecting that there might be something electrically wrong with the monitor.
