two tv's display from one laptop

How can I make my two TV's view the same thing from my laptop by using wi-fi without HDMI cord? I can get one to work, but not both of them.

Miracast connects two devices by using a technology called WiFi Direct. This technology enables two devices to create a direct WiFi peer-to-peer connection and discover each other without a need for a router or an additional wired or wireless network. This means that to connect two Miracast-enabled devices you don’t need any additional software, hardware or installation. However, this also means that with Miracast you can only connect two devices at a time, such as one computer to one TV.

My TV is eight years old so it does not support Miracast. However my Blu-ray player does support Miracast. I cast my laptop to it instead and view the laptops desktop on my TV that way. The only way for me to share the video with two TVs would be to use a video splitter on the output of the Blu-ray player.

There are ways connect to multiple TVs but that would involve spending more money than you would probably want to spend.

Windows 10 and TVs built since 2015 support Miracast. Miracast only supports one device period.

Let me emphasize that Miracast uses WiFi Direct not the regular WiFi most people are familiar with.

With regular WiFi you connect devices through your router.

With WiFi Direct you make a direct connection from one device to another. No router is needed or used.

My four year old Samsung S7 supports both modes for printing. It has a different app for each. One app goes through the local network and router to print to the HP printer. The other app uses WiFi Direct to make a direct connection to the HP printer to print.

Microsoft has defined wireless projection using both Miracast and an existing WiFi network. Miracast is the only one I have seen in common use.
