Monitor 2 still displaying during startup

I have two monitors, Monitor 1 ( the main one ) has DP Monitor 2 has hdmi. I have set it to display on M1 only, in display settings. But during startup ( even with no power to M2 ) the PC displays the Bios start screen on M2, then once the windows screen is available it switches to M1.....which means I don’t see the Bios option menu at the bottom of M1.

    any ideas please ? Thanks

I have/had the exact same problem. EVGA RTX 2070 with 3x DP 1x HDMI. DP goes to DELL monitor and HDMI to LG TV. DELL is set as primary monitor.

If I plug the DP cable into either of the DP ports with the BLUE dots, I would get BIOS splash screen on the TV (even when off), and nothing on the DELL until I got to the Windows welcome screen.

Plugged the DELL into the DP connector on the vid card with the GREEN dot, and both BIOS splash screen and all the rest, shows up on the DELL.

I talked to EVGA top tier tech support about this, and they explained it was due to port priority on the vid card. Aka, certain ports would assume they were hooked to the primary monitor, whether they were or not.
We tried each DP connector until we found the one that worked as it should.

Hope this works for you as well.

/e FYI... tried three different drivers as well. Same issue on all three. 442.72, 445.87, and 446.14

EVGA told me that HDMI starts first if there are two monitors hooked up and none are set to primary. And that part is definitely true.

But we tried all three display port connectors and only the one with the green dot (on my card), managed to show the BIOS splash screen and Windows on the same monitor, which was the DELL after it was set to primary.

I would just try connecting your monitor #1, to each of the DP connectors on the vid card...and see which one DOES start first like it should.
