Question about connecting my dual monitors to my graphics card

I just bought 2 new monitors, they are the
My graphics card is the Gigabyte GeForce 1060 Windforce OC GDDR5, I'll attach a image of the back of the card so everyone can see the back outputs.

Samsung 850 Series 28 inch 4K UHD 3840x2160 Desktop Monitor for Business, HDMI, DP, FreeSync, 1 ms response, USB Hub, 3-Year Warranty (LU28E85KRS/GO) I'll attach an image of the connections these monitors accept.

I've always used DVI to HDMI cables for my old monitors, my question is can I use the Displayport for one monitor and the HDMI for the other monitor? these are 4K monitors and I want to make sure the cables support 4K. Also On the graphics card I have are the Displayport and HDMI output that can to to monitors? ( I feel dumb for asking but want to make sure I am getting the the best resolution )

You need to find out the versions of what the HDMI and DisplayPort connections are, and also the supported resolutions and frequency of the Graphics card.
HDMI should be better than version 2.0, and DisplayPort ver 1.3.

You will also need Monitor leads of that minimum spec as well.

According to Gigabyte, specs for that Card those are HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.4

DVI-D is a legacy port, so not very useful now.

Some DisplayPort monitors can be daisy chained thus using just the one DisplayPort connection to the Graphics card.
Again look at the monitor specs.

The monitor comes with all the cables so I would assume that they meet the specs of the 4K monitor, I'm just not sure which cables to use on that graphics card to get the 4K, the only ones I have an option of is the displayport and HDMI do both those outputs support 4K? I know the card does

    According to the manual: https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/c...00482B-Eng.pdf

the monitor supports 3840X2160 at 60Hz on HDMI2 (only 30Hz on HDMI1; must be HDMI 1.4) and the DisplayPorts.

As "Helmut" posted, you'd want an HDMI 2.0 cable, preferably one certified as premium. (That's not expensive, even if it sounds like it.) I presume that Samsung gave you a suitable HDMI cable. I'm unaware of any similar ceritification for DisplayPort cables.

DisplayPort 1.2 is adequate for 3840X2160 at 60 Hz. I don't think it would be adequate if the monitor supported HDR (high dynamic range), but the UE850 monitors appear to not support HDR.

I have an old U28D590D. It appears to be similar, except it only does 60Hz through the DP connection. (30Hz on the HDMIs.) It also claims billion color support, but it does not do HDR. Like the UE850s, it's a TN monitor. (My other 4k monitor is from LG. It's IPS, and supports HDR.)

Thanks for the reply, I checked my graphics card specs and they are,
    Output
    Dual-link DVI-D *
    2HDMI-2.0b*1 (Max Resolution: 4096x2160 @60 Hz)
    Display Port-1.4 *1 (Max Resolution: 7680x4320 @60 Hz)
The monitors support a lot are than that and you are correct Samsung provides all the supported cable with the monitors.

I guess I can connect one monitor with the DP and the other with the HDMI and everything should be fine.

Yes. Just make sure that you use the proper HDMI port (2) on the monitor if you want a 60Hz refresh rate.

Please let us know how it works out, for archival purposes.
