Trailing blurry visual outline on video game objects

    This maybe a hard problem to narrow down and ill probably try to get a screen shot or two in a few days ;
in video games there is this blurry outline that trails behind objects in motion or stationary objects viewed while moving .

It look like maybe some anti aliasing is not following the image fast enough and is just trailing outlines.

If i had to describe it like if a character is moving so fast trailing copies of itself fade behind. but its just the outline and its like a translucent blur .

The graphics card is 1050 ti. dont know if this is a problem among all Nivida cards or this model, or just my card settings.

I have the latest drivers for it. What can i do to possibly remove this effect ?

Is there settings i can adjust to remove this possibly ?

Sounds like you may need to adjust the overdrive setting on your monitor.

Open the menu (osd) on your monitor, look for overdrive/od/trace free (they are all the same thing). Use this page to adjust..

I believe that this is not a problem with the monitor. because this only happens in games. 3d games.

but video is fine .will give that a quick glances. but highly doubt.

I believe this is a technical issue with the graphics card itself and the way it renders the games visual effects.

I use a 1050Ti, have never had that issue, so not the card, it has to be either a monitor setting as mentioned above, a driver setting (DSR perhaps or scaling), or a game setting (some games have a motion blur option).

That is a Graphics effect, Motion Blur, if you don't like it switch it off in the Game settings.

Assuming they give you that choice.

I dunno, but have you ever additionally got what looked like frame-skipping? Do you do online-multiplayer?
If both true, then highly likely packet loss.

Ive had something similar occur, to what op mentioned, which isnt related to any of the possible solutiosn above, I always thought it was a gsync thing. Sometimes when im gaming with gsync turned on, (gsync makes everything look silky smooth), after a while, with some demanding games, such as bf1 and dying light, the silky smoothness stops, but the framerate reads the same, 100fps+, and gsync indicator is still on, but it appears like gsync turned itself off, and each frame has a white blur to it. When this happens, if i check the frametime graph, it shows that the frametimes are bouncing up and down, with peaks, but the framerate is consistent, the frametimes and framerate doesnt match. I never have worked out what caused it.

Seems to get better when i turn on or off certain graphical settings in Nividia Control panel 3d settings for games or globally .
and in game graphics for how it used the cards settings as well.

Its in two games i play Apex Legends, and Star Citizen by CIG.

I think it has something to do with anti aliasing settings. And Anisotropic filtering .
trilinear bilinear anisotropic settings. maybe nivida or the game is not really allowing me to fully control it . Assuming this is causing the visual anomaly .

I think its poor use of TAA.

Ill get example images up soon or later.

I recently started having this exact problem not long after I upgraded my card to a 3060 Ti. Did you ever find a fix for this?
