    Needing Help With Dual Monitors

I'm running windows 10 home and I have a hdmi port on my laptop that I connected to my secondary monitor.

Display Resolution 1366 X 768 (Recommended) for the laptop resolution. But the secondary monitor is 1920 x1080 full hd. I want to have 2 different wallpapers one for the laptop screen and one for the secondary screen and on the secondary screen I don't want to have the taskbar at all of program icons showing. I will show more info in the images and give more details in the images.

    Needing Help With Dual Monitors-current-dual-monitor-settings.jpg

I have the taskbar transparent on both sides but the icons are still showing up on there I would rather have the icons appear on the main laptop monitor which is where I sit and work from but I watch videos on the secondary monitor and when I'm not watching movies I sometimes listen to music and do not like the big media player taking up space on the screen since I use vlc media player in full screen normally. I will be fixing the vlc media player issue soon enough but I want to deal with the dual screen issue now if possible.

    (1) I don't want the taskbar showing on both screen.
    (2) I want (2) different wallpapers one for each screen.
    (3) I don't want to show icons on the secondary screen but still want to be able to use opened programs over there like vlc media player. I want them to pop open over there like they do now but without the taskbar showing the icons if possible.

If this makes any sense and if you know how to do this please point me in the right direction.

Plus I am using a hdmi to vga from onn from walmart if that matters. But both monitors show up as 1 and then 2.

    Thank You!

Wallpaper - It shows the last 5 you chose, right click on one of those and select which monitor you want it on.

So, browse for the image you want on monitor 2 and select it. It will apply to both monitors. Leave it.

Now browse to the image you want for the main monitor and select it, it will apply to both monitors.

Now right click the image you want for monitor 2 in the 5 little "previous wallpapers" and select "set for monitor 2".

    The Taskbar.

Settings, Taskbar. Scroll down to "Muiltiple Displays" and turn off "Show Taskbar on all displays".

I Hope This Will Help: Set Your Dual Displays To Extend. ( Win+P And Select Extend). After That Make Sure The Two Wallpapers Is In The Same Folder To Select For Your Desktops. Press Ctrl And Select Both Pictures, Then Right-Click And Select "Set As Desktop Background"
    Hope This Helps

Opening program on a specific monitor.

Most will remember last size and position when you closed them. Others never ****ing will and always open where they want to! Get used to it.

There are multi-monitor programs out there that give you more control but every time windows updates they might break and you have to wait for your program to get updated too. In the end it's just a pain you'll learn to live with.

Okay so far so good now I have 2 different backgrounds one for each screen. I do use rainmeter so I do have a music visualizer that I plan to keep on the right side or extra monitor so far everything looks pretty good.

I think this looks pretty I plan to put all my main stuff on the laptop screen and just fun simple stuff on the second monitor. Like the frost skin from rainmeter. The time and weather skin take up a bit of screen space I plan to leave that on the laptop so the weather is right in my face and important stuff is as well. I think this is nice and clean but pretty as well.

So this is all finished I want to thank everyone that helped with my questions.

    Thank You!

    I really appreciated it!

Don't forget the "Span" setting. You can find dual monitor wallpapers that cover both screens. I have a 1280x1024 and 1920x1080.

I also like this idea but my laptop is on the stand next to the table with the extra monitor on it. There about 2 feet or so apart so they don't look close enough for this option to actually look good. Once I get the room moved around like I want it I would not mind doing something like this but for now with them so far apart I am going with the (2) different wallpapers. But thank you for the good idea. I think this would also look good once I get a 3rd dual monitor. And then have the 2 monitors span and then have a different background on the laptop if possible.
