    Running 3 Monitors on BootCamp Macbook Pro Not Working?


    Nevermind, I didn't realize I couldn't use 3 displays...

    Hi there
    Not sure about bootcamp but you should be able to run as many monitors as you have video output heads on the graphics cards -- I think Windows etc from a laptop will allow an external plus an internal (as will Linux) but these won't operate as 2 independent monitors -- you can either use internal / external as primary, duplicate both, switch off external / internal or extend video to both monitors.

    I don't see how you can run 3 independant monitors -- or even two from only 1 Graphics card with one video output -- a typical laptop is a slightly special case as there's an internal connector for the internal screen but it's not a "True secondary independent video" output where you can route an application to 1 monitor and another to the second.
