Computer screen will not wake up from sleep mode

When my computer goes to sleep, I have to do a hard reset to wake it up by pressing the power button and restarting. I can hear it operating, but it will not turn the screen on. I have been trying to fix it for a few weeks, so I can't even remember all the things I have done at this point. I want to start this thread to keep track of what is not working.

I did this to no avail:
    a: Press Windows key + X.
    b: Then click Device Manager.
c: Click on keyboard, it will display your keyboard, right click and go to properties.
    d: Select Power management.
e: Check Allow this device to wake the computer

Now I just ran the power troubleshooter and am going to let it go to sleep to see if it worked. I will report back in a few hours. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Could you please fill in your complete system specs.

In particular model number of HP and graphics adapter details.

What version of Windows 10 are you running?

    When did this start?

Did you make any changes at this time?

    I should have also asked,

Is monitor getting a signal when it wakes? (Usually there is some indicator like a small led that goes from orange to white or maybe a flashing blue to a solid blue)

OK I updated the specs. I am using Windows 10 Home version 1909.

I don't think the monitor has an LED, I haven't noticed it but I will check next time this happens.

Usually it is just the power light but know that I see this is an AIO that indicator may just be the overall system.

Thanks for updating specs. This looks like a modern machine, I have a SFF (very old) that will not wake from sleep. Does exactly as you described. Don't think my issue is your issue but with that said...

Have you updated the video driver. If I read AMD site correctly there was an update at the start of April.

When did this issue Start, approximately? Are you aware of any changes made at that time, like installation of 1909?

Is your BIOS current with what is being offered by HP. Not saying to update but worth investigating.
