interesting the device stack says

on the intel device

the wddm version of the amd driver windows downloads is 15.201.1151.1008 dated 4/11/2015 but is disabled due to a message saying this is not the display device the system POSTed with.

honestly I think it's probably for the best to abandon the project if the hardware is so rare as this laptop seems quite unstable on windows 10, I keep getting a bsod on boot saying it cant locate the boot volume and startup repair just does a system restore to resolve it. have formatted + reinstalled it a few times this past week and keeps messing up. have just disabled hibernation+fastboot to see if this will help it be more stable..

OK stand by . I'll just do few tests . I suggest you find an appropriate intel sata driver compatible with this laptop or equivalent as I am not sure what chipset it uses to resolve your bsod

After some investigating it might be because I'm using build 2004 which is having driver issues with some older hardware. Going to try going back to 1909 iso with a fresh install again.

How about we look into the ACPI instructions within the .inf and .cab files to investigate further. See if they match the hardware and only to install one specific driver and not a range. The inf should match the cab

The bogus PCI VEN 8086 bollox can be modifed like you wouldnt believe. If so we can reverse this and basically install any driver onto any system since Windows Vista

Open up the inf and cab with wordpad

Lets start with saving FONTS as TOHAMA and the type of file as UTF-8 and get our privacy back. Plus our administration and overall policy. I hate ipv6

Edit:
A real decent rootkit on your machine is pretty hard to detect. Dont try and rely on any 3rd party software these days, it doesnt do shit and cant detect bugger all. The only way to find stuff is by going basic.

Funny example NightMayor this'll make ya laugh,

Remember the old school cassette tapes, they had a plastic tab at the top, if you snapped the tab, the cassette tape was then write protected and you couldnt tape over it. Drivers these days seem like the tabs havnt been snapped and read write protection is hehe disabled.

I've worked out with 1909 the PC is still crashing but I got it into safe mode and used display driver uninstaller from guru3d to remove both Intel & AMD driver now have used devmanview from nirsoft to create a scheduled task that runs every boot to make sure the AMD video device stays disabled and the machine seems stable for now with just Intel video.

With machine in test mode I installed later version of the sata driver through SDI.

Next step is trying to find a bios mod I can use to get the option to disable the discrete graphics so windows will no longer see the AMD GPU. Found a couple but since the machine is old the links for them are now broken

might have to try my hand at modding it myself to get rid of this damn thing.

Every Atapi Cdrom device whether it be a real one or virtual one, will always have an additional digital audio output, which comes from a time when the only way to transmit the audio was with a direct 4 pin connector that came out the back of the cdrom and onto either the mobo or soundcard.

Most sata cdroms these days dont even have the 4 pin option on the back, but good old Windows still supports and uses it, obviously with no malice intended, yeah right

So sneakily there is an additional unwanted audio driver running on the system output of the cdrom, unknown to the Windows user.

In Bios sometimes you can disable IDE auto detection, set it to 0 seconds. Disable any unused IDE or SATA ports too. Disable CDRom from booting. Might help fix problem

@Agret Stand by for a big ass driver upload on its way , It seems quite promising however its now bigger than to keep both as a combo driver , so there are going to be separate drivers that are to be installed in separate steps . also please work on finding more decent drivers than the ones you have , i am sure your laptop can get more stable prior to installing the drivers .

@Pluginz you lost me at opening the inf in Tahoma and saving it in UTF-8 because cassettes had a part that needed to break .

Fonts wise im quite happy with the old ones thanks

Cassette wise my old gear from 1990 to about 2000 is having another era of life, like on another level, i really mean that,
I can record cassette now way above any mp3 especially with the wider range of bass levels supplied by analogue with treble db manipulation my old tapes from 30-35 years ago are sounding just as good if not better than anything your ears could hear or detect. Gutted i recorded over my old Spectrum 48k games

If you think about it, that was all my very first media saved sinced 1984/85, wiped over and never ever seen again
