You didn't understand what I wanted to say..

I don't think you can trust the file.

Just buy another hard disk, one with Windows10 and second with 7.

Use 10 for most cases and return to 7, when you need to work with AMD GPU.

@LiorA Living in your own bubble aren't you , you can't go out claim the file isn't trust-able not unless you have at least one Antivirus alerting it isn't .

That's one thing the other is I have already mentioned the file wasn't for public use but rather people with beta testing experience so how far should I go to make you believe its not for you people .

Then again I cancelled the project due to lack of hardware and mentioned it clearly in OP and few other posts so I am not calling for people to use it .

Also to note it is clear you are trying to BLACK MAIL me to educate you on how to mod drivers , not by asking nicely but by stalking me wanting open sources and explanations or howling this thing may have viruses .

So basically you go do your studies on modding that and let that project die in peace please .

P.S The main reason I made this project is that it is first time I encounter a Combo driver , one that can install and operate 2 GPUs from 2 different companies .

@heberle Terribly sorry but I have stopped working on that driver after laying it open for a month in regards of finding that the only one who would make use of it is just LiorA so why the bother , there are no plans to continue with it so I suggest you continue searching further .

@administrator please remove the thread or at least change its title to show this project is no further in development .

I think this needs to be locked if this is already discontinued.

Thanks for this recent development, have had this laptop for a long time and couldn't get amd driver working at all on this laptop. i'd gave up hope of finding a solution.

Thankfully LiorA from guru3d has recommend this for users of this hardware (although weirdly has not even tested it by her comments in this thread?). I am not sure why she is asking for open source because nothing is encrypted/hidden and although I have very minor experience editing drivers in the past it's fairly obvious to me what you have changed in this file (did she really study computer science? LorA, just google search how to mod a driver inf file will give you the answers). Will do some testing with your alpha and report back here.

For this laptop the latest download from hp official is for windows 8 and doesn't seem to function under windows 10, to assist you with developing this driver here is a link - https://whp-hou9.cold.extweb.hp.com/...00/sp59850.exe

here's a link to the intel driver too - https://whp-aus2.cold.extweb.hp.com/...00/sp58864.exe

if I change OS from win8 to win7 it presents this switchable driver too - https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp550...00/sp55098.exe

Laptop model is A3E14PA#ABG if this will help with your endeavour as you have mentioned unaware of laptop with this config.

Edit: here is what comes up after running setup - https://i.imgur.com/MyuYa0t.png

Manually installing the amd inf makes the screen flash black and then give this error:

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.
manually installing the intel inf makes the screen go black and stay black, after holding power button and booting back up windows is in low res display mode and driver status is that it's running properly and manufacturer is ATI but I can't set any resolution other than 1024x768 or 800x600 so is not functioning correctly.

Hardware id for intel - PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0116&SUBSYS_1657103C&REV_09

Hardware id for amd - PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6740&SUBSYS_1657103C&REV_00

I edited mup.xml to insert the intel device id:

Code:
<pnpdevice>
<driverversion>107.0.777.64</driverversion>
<pnpidstring>PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0046</pnpidstring>
<pnpidstring>PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0042</pnpidstring>
<pnpidstring>PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0016</pnpidstring>
</pnpdevice>
But now running the setup does nothing at all

Hi Pluginz

Technically speaking the problem revolves around lack of hardware , in 2 months all interests gained were someone skeptical and someone with some other hardware and after I lost all hope someone surfaced with knowledge that I private messaged him a couple of requirements and still wait a reply , so basically the more people working on the project can't make a difference at such slow rate of progress , I am still pro discarding the project .
