That's a DP male to mini-DP female adapter. Not HDMI.

Amazon shows a couple of male HDMI to female full-sized DP adapters. They are active devices, and more expensive than $10.

I don't know whether an active (powered, with internal electronics) adapter is always needed.

Too bad that you don't need mini-DP male to HDMI female. Those seem to be common. You probably wouldn't want to use one of those with gender changers at each end, because a) it could get expensive, and b) I'm not sure that it would work.

    Thanx for all the replies...

It would certainly help if I had a decent search engine.. I have tried GOOGLE, DUCKDUCKGO and DOGPILE...

Type in 'Mini DP Female Adapter' and 97% of the listings are all MALE mini DP.. Grrrrrrr...

I remember at the start of my search, I found EXACTLY what I needed... I believe the company was 'QUEEG', but I'll be damned if I can find it again.. And it was like $65.. While I am not THAT keen on getting one... That could change... heh

Update on this.. I seem to have gotten fixated on the HDMI side of the cable..

I remembered I do have a MiniDP Male to DVI Male Cable.. That's how I determined that the DisplayPort of the TITAN did work. At least, with a DVI PC Monitor...

Anyways, with that MiniDP to DVI, all I needed to do was buy a MiniDP Female Coupler and I would be good ta go...

It should be here Wed or Thu...

    Hi there
    @Michale32086
great you have got it sorted out.

In future if the exact device is not available it might be possible for example to combine them -- e.g male mini--> male maxi or whatever -- I'm a bit "Old School Engineer" so often if the exact bit of kit isn't available I have to try and work around the problem and possibly combine bits of kit or adapt other pieces to get the end result.

Maybe I'm getting a bit too old but I'd love to see more Engineering and basic Science taught to young kids in Schools --believe it or not young kids usually enjoy messing around with experimenting -- they don't all want to look at Computer screens all day long.

    Cheers

    Did NOT expect this..

Female To Female Mini-DP adapter came in today... Added it to the MiniDP-Female to DVI cable... Hooked up my Apple Cinema to the DVI ports of the TITAN card..

Apple Cinema Monitor STILL did not work with the TITAN card..

I am guessing the TITAN simply does not like my Apple Monitor...

Resolution may be the problem. Anything more than 1080p would probably require an active adapter. I got mine at Monoprice.com.

Why do you think it would be an issue on the TITAN but not on a GTX 970 or a GTX 1050ti???

I really do not know the answer to that, but it was an issue for me going from a GTX 1050Ti (DP) to an HDMI input on my monitor (1440 resolution). I saw many warnings that a "non-active" adapter would only do 1080. (I don't understand it myself).
