Oh okay so it should work just fine as long as the pci slots are turned on but I won't need to change the graphics settings in bios from auto or anything? Correct?
I didn't have to change anything, just don't use that onboard socket.

Step 1. Checked the bios to make sure graphics is set to auto and that the pci slots are on then saved exited.

    2. Booted to the os then shut down the computer and unplugged the power cord from the power supply from the wall outlet.

    3. Held the power button to make sure all the power was gone.

    3. Inserted the Nvidia nvs 310 low profile card. Closed up the the retention lever for the pci cards and put the side panel on.

    4. Fired up the computer and good to go.

Thank you everyone for your help especially Berton
