    From AMD community forum
AMD Radeon HD 6700 and Windows 10?
AMD Radeon HD 6700 and Windows 10? | Community

"The card has been moved to legacy status, so the last WHQL certified driver is 15.7.1 and the last Beta driver is 16.2.1.
So while it is 'somewhat' supported under Windows 10, it, for example will not run properly with the Creators Update which requires a more recent driver."

EDIT: That's probably why in your opening post
"Currently the card is installed as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter."

None of the drivers from AMD worked.I mean they worked until I rebooted and restarted the laptop. Then I got the message on first picture.
    7690 XT is rebranded 6800M.
Under Win 7 I see 2 display adapters and one of them is mentioned above which is from Intel.
I missed that. AMD Radeon HD 7690M XT - NotebookCheck.net Tech I thought that only nVidia did that renaming, but I was wrong.

I'm a little surprised that neither the Win7 X64 nor Win8 X64 drivers offered by HP include any for the Intel onboard graphics, if the laptop is intended for use as a dual graphics device. (Intel for low performance, AMD for high performance. Extends battery life.)

The Win8 X64 AMD drivers from HP (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers.../model/5205559) don't install? (Manually select Win8 X64, if you're downloading from a Win10 PC.) Some laptop manufacturers use custom device IDs for their graphics, which wouldn't be recognized by the generic installer from the GPU maker (AMD). You may have already stated that in the thread; if so, I apologize.

Maybe, give Snappy Driver Installer Origin a try? but make sure you have Restore Points active (and always do a Restore Point before proceeding).

I managed to find this one, went to devide manager and update driver but instead of installing intel HD driver in installed AMD driver wtf??
I see there is foler Intel with a lots of files and .exe files,so which one do I run to install intel HD driver?
But I don't have AMD Catalyst Center nor Control Panel, and now my device manager looks like this:

Ok just tried and installed W8 driver from offical website, installation passed no problems, but screen didn't flicker and that was bad sign, after reboot, none of the amd drivers was installed,I could only see in device manager Microsoft Basic Adapter...
    So W8 won't work.
I really want W10 on this notebook!
I'm back now on the .cab file I installed previously, and now only AMD driver is installed.

It's pretty normal for the HD 7690M XT to appear as HD 6700M in the device manager because the HD 7690M XT is a rebranded HD 6700M.

Have you tried letting windows update install the drivers for you?

Don't know what happened,I booted up the laptop got black screen and a flicker then revert to 1080p and now I see intel HD installed.Must be Windows Update that did the job..
Is there a way to save this driver from location where they have been installed to a flash drive?
I even now have intel control panel, and laptop is more responsive now.

Nope,I remember I stopped windows from updating so from here I see it's not the update:

According to your screenshot, your Intel HD Graphics 3000 driver version is 9.17.10.4229
Your current graphics mode is 1920 by 1080.
What does Device manger show now?

    Take a look at
Backup and Restore Device Drivers in Windows 10
Backup and Restore Device Drivers in Windows 10
I have mine backed up onto my external HDD. Fortunately, I've never had to restore any of them.

When a new Feature Update is due, I'll back them up again.

Also do system image backups on a schedule that suits you once you are back in control.
