I have a 4K monitor and it has worked perfectly since I bought it but this morning every time I hit on a new tab it shows up a two thirds blank screen see pic
I have tried rebooting the machine and even tried using Settings in Personalisation to change the theme but nothing seems to work .
Any ideas anyone please?
I am now getting a different new tab to what I am usually using when I click on the new tab it says do you like what you see and when I click on it it give me this screen in the pic .
I think it is something wrong in the settings and I don't know what to do about it - anyone?? please
Just a thought, have you enabled hardware acceleration for browser? If not, try turning it on.
Thanks Pejole for your reply mate but I am not familiar with that just where do you find that in the Settings as it seems to be a Settings problem
Yes mate it is Edge Chromium and I have looked in system but cannot find anything to do with a hardware accelerator.
This is my settings page, on left click System. Hardware acceleration may not show if using iGPU or older drivers.
Ok mate, I have half solved the problem as I have gone back to the original Edge and the new tabs are coming up as should be. I shall be trying the Chromium tomorrow as it might just be a glitch in Settings somewhere.

Sounds/look like poor internet connectivity failing to load a high resolution image? What is your existing internet make-up - NBN? FTTN? 50/20 plan? Provider?
The existing infrastructure is under load because of all the work-at-home happening in Australia....perhaps this is an artifact of that?
Yes Colin I reckon you might be right I have no limit data on NBN at the moment but I just couldn't understand why the blank space was showing up and why I couldn't change themes.
