Mobility Radeon HD 4000 series driver

    Hi,
I will soon get a Mobility Radeon HD 4330 as I will replace the motherboard on my Inspiron 1545.
From what I have read there is no official support for these cards on Windows 10 but the legacy 13.1 (dated 2013) package works.
Microsoft is also providing a driver through WU which is dated 2015. I have also downloaded the latest drivers from AMD 20.2 and checked the inf file and my card is under the supported ones.
Has anyone tried to install the latest drivers on these cards series and which drivers are you using?

    Thanks!

It is available under very limited support , it will run but with no control panel support or opengl , you will not be able to activate high performance profile , you will only be able to play store games with balanced profiles . and you will need the microsoft service update KB4057291 to restore dual monitors setup support .

Installing older package drivers may work but do expect a handful of programs to have this card banned from working on such combination of windows and driver despite working on windows 7 normally but at least you will be able to activate high performance profile , installing it however might be a little awkward just but you will have to wait until you have the chip in hand and follow the forums instruction where you found that tip carefully .

Hate to be the bringer of sad news .

    Hi,
First thank you your answer. Yep Microsoft updated the graphics driver to 2017 version which caused the bugs you mentioned but it's AMD that is still mentioning these cards in the supported section in the inf files. So Microsoft released this fix which just reverts the driver again to 2015 version.
I've read somewhere that this is not a generic driver but a fully functional driver which lacks only Catalyst. This was the case with an old Mobility Radeon X2300 when they got legacy - Microsoft provided a functional driver without Catalyst and I had just to install the latter.
When I get the mobo I'll try different combinations to see which one works.
Sorry for the long post and thanks again for the help.😉
