    Nvidia program nagging

Hello,Recently updated graphics card driver (Nvidia GT710), downloaded as always from Nvidia site.Earlier installer files contained also the "Nvidia control Panel", which is missing in several recent installer files - as I learned from Nvidia site.On the system's control panel is the Nvidia control panel (from earlier installations) and I can open it from there. The icon is also located in the notification area but can do nothing with it from there. It always keeps nagging me about the Nvidia control panel not installed, and to get it from microsoft store. How can I stop that nagging without going to the store, after all I have it in the system's control panel.Answers will be appreciated.ThanksMotim

You could try completely uninstalling the driver with DDU and obtaining the latest from NVidia.

Microsoft has made arrangements with Intel, Nvidia, and others to implement new DCH drivers for Windows 10.
These drivers are smaller in size and are easier to download and install from Windows Update.
You obviously now have an Nvidia DCH driver on your PC. These do not come with the Control Panel. Microsoft wants you to install this separately from the Microsoft Store (free).

As swarfega pointed out, you can do a clean uninstall (using the DDU program in Safe Mode) and then install the Standard Driver from Nvidia. The Standard Driver contains the Control Panel.
But you must be sure to find the Standard Driver package on the Nvidia website. The regular Game Ready driver may install the DCH driver again.
And you have to be sure that between the time you clean uninstall the DCH driver and the time you install the Standard Driver you are disconnected from the internet. Very important. Because Windows Update could reinstall the DCH driver immediately on restart.

    To find the Standard Driver:
Nvidia control panel and microsoft account

Windows pushed a new nvidia driver via update

Hello,Thanks for all the answers.Could not download from ms store the NVidia control panel - too many steps to get it.So here what I did:Found and downloaded the standard driver (its ancient 2017, nothing else), installed it - the issue I wrote about was not solved. So downloaded DDU program and ran it (normal mode), it wiped all NVidia traces, rebooted, Display resolution not good (Microsoft driver !).Restored system with a very fresh Macrium full backup image, had my system back. And there is more, the NVidia control panel icon is back in the notification area and working.
The display driver now is the one I installed right before making the mentioned Macrium full image. Thanks again.Motim

You should go here Advanced Driver Search | NVIDIA to get the ability to choose a standard vs DCH driver and then use DDU to install the standard driver you downloaded off there so they are up to date as 2017 drivers are very old at this point and have security flaws. This is the one for your GT710 if your using x64 windows: NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce Game Ready Driver WHQL .

It's not a long term solution because Windows 10 will automatically download a newer driver for you. When it's the AI is making automatic driver updates, you have no idea whether the AI is going to pick correctly or not.

Just be careful downloading and installing any new driver updates from Nvidia. They have changed things up again.

Now, all "Game Ready Drivers" are DCH. You can check this when you get to the point of actually downloading the driver and the window pops up that shows the file you are about to download. Notice that "dch" is in the file name.
The Standard Driver (currently) has the word "international" in the file name. Both drivers will be the same version number.

Also new: the DCH driver package now WILL overwrite the Standard Package. They even edited their FAQ on this to reflect this fact.

Chatter on the Nvidia forum is that no one knows how long the company will continue to release the Standard Driver package in addition to the DCH one. The consensus is that if enough people are demanding it it will continue, if not it will probably disappear one day without warning.
