Monitors switching between normal views and white screens

I just came intor my office and found my monitors all white. I turned the computer off with the off button, and then turned it on again. After startup, the monitors switched between normal view and white screens. I again turned the computer off, waited a little longer before turning it on again, and now, all is good.

This blinking has happened before, about two weeks ago.

    I have Windows 10, 64-bit, v 1909.

I believe the relevant events in Event Viewer is about

Error: "Faulting application name: explorer.exe, version: 10.0.18362.449"

Warning: "Message Windows Hello for Business provisioning will not be launched."

Any idea what might be going on?

    Thanks/Hans L

    Hi Hans

    Start with basics.

Update video drivers, run sfc /scannow, if you feel comfortable opening device do and check for dust. If cleaning is required and you use compressed air hold fan blades in place with a pencil, small screw driver so you don'y over spin them.

What was installed about two weeks ago or what was changed. Start with reviewing Windows update logs and check application install dates.

Is reliability history reporting anything... click start and type reliability history.

Is this integrated video or standalone expansion card. If expansion card would reseat (pull and install) and disconnect and reconnect any cables.

Ken, I did all except Reliability (or, if I did it, I did not check it carefully). Nothing bad has happened lately, so I hope that, in particular, the update of drivers/firmware has solved the problem.

    Thanks for your help!
