Windows 10 GPU driver

So last time W10 updated my GPU driver it went and downloaded nvidia 432.00 driver.

I remember reading somewhere on the web that if you update your GPU drivers then W10 will just revert back to 432.00 driver.

Is this true ? Was this issue ever fixed in W10 ?

Also do i have to disable driver auto update for W10 from

control panel >> system >> advanced system settings >> hardware tab >> device installation settings

Should i select the "no" option before installing a new GPU driver ?

Wanna, so then is it ok if i do not disable driver auto update from here :

Is it ok if i don't disable it in device installation settings and just install a new driver without disabling ?

Yeah, sorry i replied in the other topic Wanna, let's keep the discussion it this thread. That was an older thread, but i didn't knew if i should keep replying there so i just started this one.

I'm not gonna use DDU. I will just make a clean install in the nvidia setup since the nvidia offers that option. But yes i will be installing a new driver version not an old one.

So if i install a new one it should work without disabling it in device installation settings ?

Might have to install a new driver because FIFA 20 keeps crashing and gives me a DXGI error device removed.

Wanna, just wanted to ask do you have any idea what might cause a DXGI device removed error ?

It sounds like DirectX to me, but reinstalling DX didn't help so that's why i'm thinking of installing new drivers. I searched on google about this issue with FIFA 20 but there doesn't seem to be a permanent solution for it.

Wanna the card isn't failing trust me.

FIFA 20 is the only game this happens. Other games running on the same engine (Frostbite engine) aren't giving me this error.

Also my GTX 950 temp never goes above 72'C. In most games it's about 69'C only in very demanding games it goes to 72'C. In FIFA 20 for example it always stays at about 64'C.

It's the ASUS STRIX version of the GTX 950. I actually bought it a few years ago mainly because it's a lot cooler then other versions of the same GPU. I heard other versions of GTX 950 go up to 85'C from other manufacturers but not from ASUS.

On nvidia site max temp for this card is 95'C so it is well below dangerous temperature.

But yeah i don't know what to try anymore. Only in FIFA 20 this happens i have nothing else to try except installing a new driver. Some other users on the web says this might be a problem related to the Frostbite engine and there isn't really a permanent fix for it.

Wanna i forgot to ask.

If i want to install an older driver like older then 432.00 then do i still have to disable auto update in device installation settings ?
