Yep yep i know know i must sound like an old man who still has his 486DX2 haha . i do agree with you with modern res's. One thing i will say is 1440p is not really compatible with a 16:9 TV and probably wont work.
Its just with a 10 year old HDTV like i have, Sony Bravia 32. i have tried so many ways. From booting up issues to washed out HDTV res's. I like its overall compatibilty and being 1n half feet away from the TV, i just find VGA just so much crisper.

I do have a 50" 4K TV here too but its only input is HDMI and you have no choice.

Love and peace, VGA a winner here for me. What HDTV does the OP have anyways? If it maxes at 720p i dont think he has any choice either hehe

I remember when i ran Eyefinity 3x32" TV's, all different specs. The highest i could get from that was 5760x1080 ! Damn it was wide. I will find some pictures of it. and then, it still ran better, 3x32 with a res of 4098x768 lol, it did really

Peace
