Driver for 9800 GT Graphics Card

    Does this card work with the basic Windows video driver? If not, there might be a hardware fault with the GPU.

    +1 That what I am thinking!
    I have old gtx770sc got error will not boot up! I have try put in Oven for 10 mins of course must remove heatsink and can't remember what is the temperature in the Oven and then try test the GTX770Sc so it working well lol!!! because some solder on graphic card touch each solder made windows BSOD and will not boot up...

    Do you mean the generic version that Nvidia released in 2015/16?

    The oven cooking trick din't work for me and anew GPU was needed. In that case the PC booted but I noticed video tearing in the BIOS screen which indicated the PC hangs were due a faulty GPU.

    probably clutching at straws here..a lot of the older athlon bios's had a option to use either intergrated gpu or pcie gpu or both, i pressume you have already looked into this. "as i say i'm clutching at straws but i hate unsolved problems"
