Driver for 9800 GT Graphics Card

    I have tried the .74 version which caused a black screen.

    The only other thing I can do is wait for nephew to bring my old 560 over which he said caused a no signal on the monitor but I may be able to fix that with a driver.

    I have ran DDU and the system is clean again.

    I will try this driver as a last attempt.

    Okay let see what happen. What I am thinking when this graphic card last reapply thermal pasta? It could be cause crash due dry thermal pasta! Have you check for clean dust on fan?

    have a look here it seems similar to your problem nVidia GeForce 8800GT and GeForce 9500GT it may give you some other option to look at

    Thanks Ill try a driver only install and use DDU to prevent updates.

    It is old so I could practice doing that on this card as I have nothing to loose. I do have some liquid metal which is best for graphics cards I believe.

    Try letting Windows Update pick a driver for you.

    Hi swarfega
    Please try this driver Nvidia 364.51
    If that doesn't help, try update VBIOS on that card.
