Change the increments by which you can adjust the display brightness.

Hello. My keyboard has Fn + keys to increase or decrease the display brightness by 10%. I wonder if there's a way to reduce that percentage, as the (10%) change can be too drastic in a dark room.

I tried this, but it didn't work:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\monitor\Parameters
    'MinimumStepPercentage' 1

    Thank you.

If using a laptop you can run this to get a slider with 1% increments (arrow up/ down key)

    Download BrightnessTray 1.2.5

    If using a monitor you'll have to try something else;

Hi, volumouse (free) offers brightness control with the scroll wheel + 1 key. Steps are configurable:

    Hi Callender
I downloaded BrightnessTray and checked the zipped program on VirusTotal and it came back fine. I unzipped it and (for the first time ever) ran it again on Virustotal and it came back as malicious! I never know what to think when only one company flags a program since it seems like more than one would know about a virus??

    This is an old thread.
    Pointless App to add anyway.

The standard Quick Action bar brightness control gives you 1% increments.

Just enable it in the Notification centre.
Right click in the Quick actions area at the bottom > Edit quick actions > Add > Brightness.

Then when clicking on the Notification centre the Brightness control slider is there with 1% increments.

This is also in Settings > System Notifications & actions > Edit your quick actions.

    That works.

How to Add or Remove Brightness Slider on Action Center in Windows 10

RE: Virus Total - 1/74 is a false positive detection anyway but that program is only for laptops/ notebooks and not for monitors.
