The issue seems quiet a few people had and found that driver downgrading solved the problem.
Do a search "system resource Hog GPU1 - copy with newer Nvidia drivers" and you'll see.

Competent answers or solutions to the issue are virtually non existent.
Since I did down grade the drivers all seems resolved.
However, my laptop, ZenBook Q536, who runs on the latest drivers for a Nvidia 1050 GTX does not seem to have the problem.
So it might be an hardware/architecture issue or simply the result of the German word concoction which so eloquently characterizes it: "Verschlimmbessern" ; to make something worse by constantly improving (aka update mania) it....
