I think standard drivers are on their way out. I update drivers through GFE and it automatically swapped me from standard to DCH three or four builds ago.
I'd say that's a good indicator of which way things are going.

the article I read said that starting with NVIDIA Game Ready WHQL driver 496.49 version that would be the case, not that I had any issues with 472.39 , either GR or Studio which I also run on my CAD Workstation normally.
Seems as if I may as well go ahead and make the shift to DCH.

Just now, I finally get to download the 496.49 version, because up until yesterday when I went to fill in my machine's specifications for the Display Adapter in the Nvidia's "Download Drivers" page, I was still getting the current version on my PC. Finally !!!

    ----Updated----

Something is definitely amiss here. What I mentioned above holds true only for my Asus machine with higher specs, which has passed the PC Health check for Win 11. The other machine, an HP Envy (with lower specs) which has not passed muster when it comes to the PC Health Check, still cannot get the new version. I really cannot explain what's going on. What a drag!

Make sure you select the DCH driver, the standard driver is no longer available with the new drivers. Force feeding you the DCH Nvidia control panel.

Whether I choose GRD or SD or else..., It just doesn't work for my HP Envy (See Specs in my profile). I have just finished installing 496.49 for my Asus machine and everything seems fine so far.

Use this link: Advanced Driver Search | NVIDIA

Under driver type you can choose between standard/DCH. I just looked at your profile, I don't believe the 600 series cards are supported by the latest drivers.

No luck. It's a no-go. Following 2 screenshots below show same result whether I choose DCH or SD. I hope I am going to get an update at some point. This is my production machine and it will be staying on Win 10 until end of support in 2025.

As you can see, the result at the top (Version 472.12) for both is what I have currently running on my machine (HP).

That's because your card (Kepler architecture) is not supported after 472.xx drivers. They dropped support for those alongside Windows 7/8.
