Word on the street is that NVIDIA may no longer offer the standard version. I'll wait a couple of days before trying out the DCH version.

They have also discontinued support for all Kepler based cards with this Driver , ie most 600 and 700 Series Cards.

yup! 830 MB is unreal!

I installed this new DCH version this time over my standard version..
it uninstalled that first got one or two errors that a retry fixed and it finished installing fine..
so I am good to go I guess...!

Well, this is annoying.

Yes, a little annoying. However, if you use DDU to uninstall drivers, tick the option to remove DCH control panel. When you then install the new driver it will automatically install the DCH control panel, no need to d/l from the MS store. I installed this way and not really any difference.
