    Windows Update Installed Older 2017 NVidia Graphics Driver


    Just wondering is there a way to make windows update stop installing a Graphics Driver from 2017 for my NVIDIA ASUS STRIX GTX 980 graphics card.I always uses the latest driver from NVIDIA which works the best for me other than a older 2017 driver.Any help with this greatly appreciated.

    Hide or Show Windows Updates in Windows 10
    If it is indeed delivered by WU rather than a scan initiated by a Nvidia scheduled task.

    A more radical approach (affects all driver updates):
    Enable or Disable Driver Updates in Windows Update in Windows 10

    And you could use a 3rd party tool such as Windows Update Manager.
    Download WuMgr - MajorGeeks
    (Note the reference to hidden updates in the screenshot)

As the title suggests, I allowed the creators update to install itself yesterday and now the computer will get stuck whilst booting. I took the graphics card out and used the onboard graphics and it then booted fine. Uninstalled the graphics drivers...
