Your options have all been covered with all the answers together.

With a small Laptop screen like that there are always going to be problems from Application to Application, and for people with not so good eyesight.

The only other option is an external Monitor of a larger size.
There should be a clue ?

Sort of working at cross purposes.

With your resolution set to max ( HD ) you've stated the font is small. Yes at max resolution the font is small. Andre suggested, post 15, you increase font size.

I suggested that you use a lessor resolution which also increases size of everything.

Helmut suggested you get a bigger monitor.

If you use the 175% magnification there is no way a window will fit in monitor. You could try a custom scale, say 110%.

or less resolution, bigger font or bigger monitor.

If you'll use magnification, I suggest 125%, and increase text by 10 to 15%. Working for me on 15' screen. And don't forget to set fix scaling for applications (under Advanced scaling).

There is no way you would be satisfied with "default" settings (your statement on previous page)

If I do use lessor resolution than the option of Full HD is useless. Well I will give a try!

About 110% custom scale I have done that and UI had issues again!

Don't use the custom scaling. Select 125% from the first page in settings. Other option is to just enlarge the text and let the scaling at 100% - icons can be adjusted in Explorer, but other apps will have small UI elements

Okay so we are back to square one.

If you scale to 125% how does it look.
