need help with separate settings on dual monitors

I need to set scaling on laptop at about 150%, but that makes everything on large monitor too big - all my windows open gigantic and everything in the windows is too big. The laptop windows open too small and font is really small.

I've been using dual monitors on my system for a few years. I used @Kari's tutorial:

Multiple Displays - Change Settings and Layout in Windows 10

I've been using my laptop with a Visio 40-45" TV at our Senior Activity Center, but never thought of making it dual monitor.

I should be at the Center tomorrow or Tuesday and will take my laptop with me. I'm going to use Kari's instructions and see if I can set up my HP laptop as dual, just for grins. The TV is for "show and tell" for my students.
