    I wondered if the power adapter/brick for my monitor might be a weak point when left on 24/7 because even when the monitor is asleep the power bricks green LED light remains on all the time. Obviously the monitors power button LED is also on 24/7 (flashing on and off when sleeping).
    Having said that though, those power brick and monitor LED's must be designed to last many years..that's if they are the same or similar to the Standby LED's on a TV
