    Should I install an additional graphics card on new Motherboard?


    I built a new PC using an Asrock H370M-Plus. The new machine is working well, however, I am not completely satisfied with the graphics. I have recently purchased a new Dell monitor and the mobo recognized it immediately so there are no issues there. But when I am working in an application such as Win word, i am able to see the screen but it appears all washed out. Wondering if i have missed something in settings. Any assistance out there is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Have you tried making adjustments via your graphic card's driver GUI? I saw something similar with this Lenovo. It just has Intel HD Graphics- a few minor tweaks made a big difference.

    Assuming you mean the whole screen
    i am able to see the screen but it appears all washed out.
    - or do you mean just certain windows e.g. Word? A screenshot could help.

    You won't need an additional Graphics Card just for that.

    1) You can change the Word colour scheme in Word options.

    2) Settings > Personalisation > Colours > Choose your default App mode.

    3) Search for Colour Management. In there you should see the profile for your Dell monitor. Advanced Tab > Calibrate.

    4) The Intel iGPU HD control panel for the old style drivers is a right click on the Desktop > Graphics properties...

    For the new style DCH drivers you will have to download the App from MS Store, Intel Graphics Control Panel, or the Intel Graphics Command centre which is more aimed at gamers.
