    Long booted, lag, or black screen etc. are something that commonly happens after intel graphics driver update, especially if your pc/laptop still using HDD, it takes time to adjust everything.

    This still happens after several restarts.
    Over on the Intel forum others are having the same problem.

    Everything went smoothly for me here. It was just another typical Intel GPU driver install. Though I am on an SSD and not an HDD.

    There’s certainly a problem either between the update & HHDs &/or older graphics cards.
    All is fine until I update & then it takes 3-4 + minute to boot to log in screen.

    Have you tried the last beta drivers at all (v27.20.100.8581)? Do they exhibit the same behavior?

    No I haven’t yet. I’m going to try a few things later - using DDU & then clean installing the driver.

    The Beta driver is fine but as soon as I install the latest afterwards the laptop takes ages to boot, this time over 4 minutes where the Beta took 1min 20 sec.
