If you take a look the Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 580 4GB NITRO+ use 10 Watts less than my GTX 460 1024 GB.

There's really no reason that motherboard wouldn't accept that GPU you're looking to buy. You can even use an RTX 2080 Ti with it without any problems.

I have a legacy bios mobo too (Acer G5910 | Version: P01-A4 last updated in 2012) and I would like to get either a 1660super/ti or RX 580/590.

Would anyone be able to advise me on this?

I'm not certain, but I think that the Acer G5910's power supply has a single 6 pin PCI-E power connector for a garphics card.

Some of the 1660 super and ti cards require an 8 pin connector. The RX580/590 may have the same problem. There are 6 pin to 8 pin adapters available. Example: Robot Check Whether something like that is safe to use, I don't know.

I doubt that there's a BIOS compatibility issue. I found this: UserBenchmark: Acer Predator G5910 Compatible Components

It doesn't cover the current generation of graphics cards (Turing for nVidia), but I'd think if the board likes a 1060 (Pascal) from the previous generation, it should be OK.

To play it safe, buy a card from a source with a tolerable returns policy.

So there might be a chance I cant get it to work on both 1660super/1660ti? how abt the RX 580/590.
I have an 8pin PCIE connector from my 750W PSU so that is not an issue.

Is there any other gpu you would recommend me to get to play it safe?

I'm using an ASUS H61M-C Motherboard for my HTPC (Where the RX 570 is installed).

It says your mobo is UEFI.

I think that is why you were able to used RX 570 on your mobo.

I wish you good luck with that.

However, I'd bet (5¢, maybe), that you won't find another poster here who has tried a state of the art card with a 2011 system.

I'd be pleased to have guessed wrong about that.
