how do you delete a display driver and replace?

I'm trying to solve another problem, and this one came up. A suggestion was made to delete or disable my display driver. How can you do that? Wouldn't the monitor stop working and you wouldn't be able to see your screen? I really want to do this, as other options aren't working either.

Use Display Driver Uninstaller DDU to uninstall graphic card driver and visit graphic card manufacturer website to install latest version of the driver.

    Download Display Driver Uninstaller

You can just uninstall it in Settings/Apps. Also, while you're at it, uninstall anything else that is relevant to your graphics card. Your monitor will work perfectly fine. The Microsoft Basic Display Adapter will take over.
Then, If you want the very latest drivers, when you want to reinstall, go to the manufacturers website and reinstall from there.
I have Nvidia graphics and I just take the latest tested drivers that Microsoft push to my PC. Im not bothered about having the latest and greatest drivers so Im always just a couple of months behind.
If you want to do what I do. When you've uninstalled the graphics software/drivers, go into Device Manager, select Display Adapters and you'll see the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter listed. Right click on it and select update driver. Microsoft will then push their latest tested version of your graphics card. All done.

I've done this, and my display works, but I can no longer right click on the Desktop. Any suggestions?

If you have Tablet Mode turned on...switch it off.
Also, Run the System File Checker...sfc /scannow to see if any of your system files are corrupted

    This problem has been resolved

I've been working on some other problems which I think were all caused by my display driver, and with support under General Support, it was also recommended to turn off tablet mode (which I didn't even know was on) and now most of my problems have been solved. Thanks for your help.
