    Display Settings

I've connected a TV screen to my PC, which has appeared as screen 2 in the image below.

As I don't want it on most of the time, I wonder if there is a way to automate the changing of the "Multiple Displays" option indicated by the arrow.

Ideally I'd like a shortcut on my desktop to toggle between "Disconnect" & "Extend". But two shortcuts to change and then change back would obviously do as well.

    Thanks

usually all gpu makers have features like these implemented to desktop background context menu . like for example with intel if you right click desktop background and choose "Graphics Options" you have an "Output to" option if you have extended displays connected where you pick from several scenarios of output (for as many extended displays you have connected) .

if you are a developer and really really want to like end up with a shortcut doing so or write a tool that does so then all you need is a context menu editor to strip out the line embedded in context menu to achieve such behavior and use it in your own program but to the rest of the world the developers see a right click menu is enough .
