Upgrade?
Hi,
Is it worth me upgrading, I’ve been looking at this card Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB, my current card is Sapphire Radeon RX580 NITRO+ Special Edition 8GB?

The 5700 XT is a much more powerful card than the RX 580.
Is it worth the upgrade? Depends on your use. For MS Word and Web browsing, no.

Games, certainly.
Adobe products, I'm less sure. I've been using Photoshop CS6 for a few years. It doesn't seem to make good use of multiple CPU cores, and I doubt that it's great with GPU based processing acceleration. Your mileage may vary.
Only you can decide whether the upgrade would be worth roughly £400 to you.

photoshop can make use of a good gpu if you use it to create textures of 3d objects (obj ,dae etc) as those objects require rendering and usually the process improve the more power you give it , i have tried to use it once without acceleration and it felt like dark ages , yet if that's not your cup of tea then you gain nothing from upgrade .
as for games you can always tell if you need an upgrade or not if a game starts rendering bellow 20 fps on your favorite settings and resolution , you dont even have to measure it by fps , but if it feels eye stressing , slow , lag-ish , unplayable then you definitely need an upgrade .
there is a factor though you need to be aware of on buying a new gpu , i am personally an nvidia fan , i used to have an 840m gpu laptop which felt slow playing a game i like so i bought a new laptop that came with a gtx 1050 ti card which is 2 generations ahead with higher clock ram speed that however rendered the game in slower fps than what i had which lead me to later ditch that laptop to another meaning no its not an exact science where the newer the better despite all propaganda and benchmarks the manufacturers claim or post .
gamers came up with a method to overcome that factor by running game tests on specific gpus and post the results on youtube , so if you feel lagged in one game and need to see how it would play like on a card you are considering just search the card name along with the game name on youtube and see the results for yourself .

Whatever you do, do not buy the reference 5700XT. It's hot and loud and will hit thermal limit quite easily. Get an AIB RX 5700XT instead - like the Pulse - if you really want that particular card.

Yea, that's a reference cooler. It's terrible for acoustics and thermals. Like "Tech Jesus" pointed out in that video, you can get much better cooling for only a bit more money from AiB's (add-in board partners). Blowers, like that reference design, are only good in small form factor cases, but even then they will make high Db's in GPU intensive games compared to AiB dual/tri fans that's blowing air inside the case instead of the back. If you're sensitive to noise and high temperatures while gaming, getting that reference card is not going to be a good idea in my honest opinion.

Oh, I ordered it as well on scan this morning, will try it and if it’s bad hoping they will refund me and I’ll get the pulse instead which they get on the 20th.

Both Nvidia and AMD usually release their designs first, then week(s) to a month the AiB's comes out. I just don't understand why AMD is still on that blower style cooler. Nvidia changed to better cooling on their RTX reference cards. But I should point out that I am extremely sensitive to noise, so blower coolers are driving me crazy when they hit certain RPMs.
We all have our opinion on 'noise' so maybe it's not that bad for you. 
Objectively though, it's going to make more noise than a proper two/three-way cooler design from an AiB, aswell as more heat. If it bothers you when it arrives I'm sure there are policies in place in the U.K for returns. All that matters in the end is that the card is good for you and your needs.
