I'm not sure how much it matters, but is your monitor correctly recognized in Device Manager? If not, you could try downloading the "drivers" for the monitor (really just an .inf file).

What interface are you using? Analog (VGA), DVI, DisplayPort, or HDMI?

Does not matter about the Driver. These are relatively low standard monitor resolutions.

You have to set the VGA resolutions and refresh rates within the specs of the Monitor.

You can go the Nvidia drivers and set those, or to the Windows settings.

The *.INF file just tells Windows what Resolutions and Refresh rates are supported so you cannot set outside the useable range.

It basically does not matter whether that is installed as long as you know the specs of the monitor for VGA inputs.

VGA and DVI-D are now legacy ports, it has moved on to HDMI and DisplayPort which send data back so such problems are much less likely.

Looking back over the first post, if the monitor is providing an "out of range" at supported resolution, then I imagine that the frame rate is set too high in the graphics setup.

I wonder what monitor the OP has? (Make, model.) That can be a useful bit of information.
