    Hi. Check the HP support site and see if your BIOS needs to be updated.

    https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/desktops

    If so, do that first. Then, install the new graphics card with the latest drivers downloaded from the video card's website.
    Run the driver setup with the new card already installed.

    That's about the best you can do.

    This GT 1030 Card should do you, HDMI and DisplayPort. You will have to check dimensions as regards fitting in your box.
    Chunkier Heatsink always good, shorter and has DisplayPort as well as HDMI.

    I had a history of annoying the IT department by doing it myself.

    Not a recommendation. It's fun, but probably not worth the price.

    Retired now, so the opportunity no longer exists.
