    Test Display Color Range Software

    Greetings,

I see YouTube reviewers talking all the time about the color ranges of various displays. They use a software which looks like this --

    Test Display Color Range Software-2019-06-23-19_02_02-2019-asus-vivobook-14-x412fj-review-youtube.jpg

Does anyone know what software that is? Or an easy way to find what percentages of colors a display might offer?

    Thanks

I don't know that particular program but you could try Gamutvision. It doesn't measure the colour range of the display but will allow you to compare profiles. So if you have calibrated and profiled your display you can compare it's profile to say sRGB or whatever you like - a printer profile for example.

Gamutvision - explore color spaces, gamut mappings, and rendering intents

Despite the claims of many software only programs there is no way you can calibrate and profile a display, project or printer without using a colourimeter.

This is true. While you can fiddle with the monitor colour controls, to get really accurate colour results you will require hardware calibration - The screen is also a limiting factor, if you have a TNT screen you will most likely have poor colour calibration.

Colormunki is a good affordable option.
