Wireless Display status bar not going away

When I've had my laptop connected to my TV, after I disconnect I am stuck with this black bar at the top of the screen and it won't go away.


anyone know how to get rid?

update to latest intel wifi driver , your card is either the 8th or 9th generation series and have received a recent update .
if it persists you can always use the pin and it will start being part of the notification area again .

It's 7th gen, nothing to do with drivers, the feature works fine but that bar hangs around after I am done. I cannot click any of the buttons or interact with it in any way, other than to reconnect, which I don't want to do.
