    Nvidia graphics card

    Hello!
    I have a pc with a Gigabyte A320M-S2H motherboard
AMD Ryzen 3 2200G with Vega 8 graphics.
I have purchased a Nvidia GTX1050TI graphics card.
When I first installed the graphics card and powered up the screen was 800 x 600.
I inserted the driver disk that came with the card selected Win 10 64 bit.
I then got a message saying "No compatible hardware found"
I then went to the Nvidia website and downloaded the driver, before I could install the driver the screen reverted to 1920 x 1080. Anyway I installed the driver and all seem well.
However I could not open the Nvidia control panel, I could see it in Control Panel, but it wouldn't open.
I tried various suggestion on the internet to get the control panel to open, but no luck.
The next day when I booted the pc, the screen had changed to 1280 x 1024, when I looked in device manager the gtx1050 had a yellow triangle and the message the card had been stopped because it reported problems. I tired to update the adapter driver, but got a message "unable to install driver due to problems". I contacted the seller who said try again but follow the instructions on the leaflet in the box, however this was in Chinese only..I found a video on YouTube, which shows an upgrade of a similar system using the Ryzen 3 2200G and a GTX 1050 Ti. I have followed the instructions on the video, but still nothing. My machine now doesn't see the Nvidia card at all just another Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, I have tried again to re-install the drivers but still no joy. Does anyone have a clue as to what's wrong and how to correct it, please?

What is the source of the card? Was it priced much below mainstream vendors?

"I contacted the seller who said try again but follow the instructions on the leaflet in the box, however this was in Chinese only."

That suggests the the 1050ti may be a Chinese counterfeit.

I hope that my guess is wrong, but, with all that you've tried, it's the obvious explanation.

That image is not displaying here. You would need the latest version of GPU-Z to detect fakes.

This should be the latest version of GPU-Z 2.18.0.

    Still not displaying.
Where did you get this Card, and is it new or second hand ?

Assuming it is not a fake, it could be a model only made for the far east market (the instruction leaflet) and may require a slightly different driver.

The card was new from Ebay. it appears to be a generic or OEM version. All the chips I can see are stamped Samsung.
I don't know why it will not display the picture? However the card shows as a Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti, GPU GP107, Ver: FF.
Device id: 10DE IC82-0000 0000. Hope this helps.

See if you can find a friend, neighbor, relative, or local computer store to swap test the Nvidia GPU.

Wouldn't happen to be something like this one would it?

The one listed there is an outright fake. The first give away that it is fake is it requires an external power connection, whereas a real 1050 Ti doesn't. Second is none of the specs match up with what Nvidia lists,

I downloaded a video of a GTX1050Ti card manufactured by MSI and that had an external power supply cable. The one I have was similar, but all it's specs were correct and it worked when first tried.

It's very difficult to tell which card is fake and which isn't. I've just looked at the Gigabyte website and their GTX1050Ti Windforce has a 6 pin power connector. Asus make seven different versions of the GTX1050 ti most don't need a power feed but the ROG STRIX versions do need a power feed. Palit cards again some come without a connector and some with, PNY card needs a power feed.
