Just yesterday got the exact same problem in windows 10 after i installed nvidia's newest driver 355.60.
The second monitor gives "no signal" message no matter where i plug it in the video card even when i switched cables with the other monitor. It's the asus vg248qe by the way.

    Hi

Can you shut down your PC and remove the power cable for about 1 min. Then reconnect and restart the PC, does you second monitor work okay - you may need to press the Windows key and P again?

No change after unplugging it for well over a minute.

I upgraded windows 10 to the latest build and still have the same problem. I think it was after i installed the latest nvidia driver the problem showed up. But i cannot understand how reverting to an older driver doesn't fix the problem.

have you tried rolling back to a previous driver through the windows device manager rather than downloading an old one from online?
