"Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" showing up in "Device Manager"

So, I've got a Computer with GT630. I've installed windows 10 and I tried installing the drivers for my Nvidia GT630, and it gave me an error that says I don't have an NVIDIA GPU. I've used DXDIAG to look at my specifications and it showed me "Microsoft...". I've gone into "Device Manager" -> "Display Adapters" and there was "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". I couldn't do anything to make my GT630 show up there. I've even waited 12 hours for the Windows 10 update. I tried removing my GT630 from the Computer and putting it back in, which didn't work. I don't have any drivers installed, because it's telling me I don't have the GT630 which I have in my Computer. I need help, please!

Good possibility what you have is a fake GT 630 (there are and were quite a few of them around for the past few years),

GPU-Z Graphics Card GPU Information Utility

and post a screenshot of the graphics card tab so we can see what it is.

I did try. It says that the "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is already up-to-date!"

I used the GT 630 In the past but when I installed this Windows 10 It didn't got recognized.

If you go into Device Manager, Display Adapter, Details tab, and pull down Hardware ID, what do you get?

(You can web search on what sort of hardware that is.)

I see that the latest drivers (425.31) support the GT 630, so that's not the issue.

Latest drivers do not actually support the GT630 despite the information given. These cards along with all 'Fermi based' variants are no longer supported. The last driver to offer support and therefore install properly was version 391.35.

I would suggest the OP makes sure the card is seated properly in the slot.

try to install the intel driver 1st then after restart try again install the nvidia driver.

1) Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Tutorials
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)



2) In the left lower corner search type: msinfo32 > allow 10 - 15 minutes for it to fully load > save as NFO > post a share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

3) In the left lower corner search type: dxdiag > allow 10 to 15 minutes for it to fully load > save as txt > post a share link into the thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

4) Open the Internet Explorer browser and download and install JAVA to run the Nvidia driver scan:

Are you think of nVidia's Optimus technology?

I've never heard of it being used on a desktop system.
