I have a display issue. One day everything is normal, the next the display stretched enough that I had to move icons from left side in so I could see them. The start button is not visible in taskbar. I have checked both screen resolution (it is set correctly) and the driver for the monitor does not need update. I had this problem occur in an earlier version of windows so long ago I can't remember the fix. Please can anyone offer any suggestions?

This issue is usually fixed by downloading latest graphics drivers directly from manufacturer (nVidia, Intel or AMD) and installing them. If you already have latest drivers, then you may have to configure the monitor or display settings from "Graphics Properties" (for Intel) or Control Panel (for nVidia and AMD). You should also try the "auto" button (or menu selection) of your monitor.
Sounds like an Aspect Ratio setting is wrong, or overscan. For that you need to go through the Monitor Menu settings. Also for overscan probably through the AMD/Nvidia/Intel Graphics Control panel settings.

If you are using a TV rather than a monitor, use the aspect ratio control (picture size) on the remote to fill the screen properly. This usually works with VGA connection, not sure if it is applicable for HDMI, but you can try. First make sure you have selected the maximum screen resolution supported (native resolution).
